QWO is the first and only FDA-approved injectable for moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women.

If you have cellulite, you are not alone. Most women will have cellulite in their lifetime — as many as 9 out of 10 of them. Tough workouts and healthy eating habits are great for your overall fitness and wellness, but they won't do much to reduce cellulite.

If you really want to reduce cellulite, you need to understand what's behind it.

Understanding Cellulite

What you should know about cellulite:

  • Cellulite isn’t fat.
  • It isn’t caused by what you eat or how much you eat.
  • It doesn’t happen because you aren’t exercising enough.

A cutting edge treatment for cellulite without the cutting.

Do you struggle to get rid of cellulite, even at a healthy weight? Are you embarrassed by a “cottage cheese” or “orange peel” skin texture?

To understand this issue completely, we must look under the surface of the skin. Over time, your skin thins. Fat cells enlarge and push against the skin, and the fibrous bands under the skin thicken, causing tension and the signature dimpling of cellulite.

We haven’t been able to do much about cellulite until now. Now with QWO, the first and only FDA-approved injectable for moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women, we can achieve visible results in reducing cellulite in 10 weeks. Here are the facts:

  • QWO is injected into the cellulite dimples to simultaneously stimulate the growth of new collagen and break down the fibrous bands tethering the skin (which leads to cellulite.)
  • Injections take as little as 10 minutes.
  • Most women receive 3 treatments, 21 days apart.
  • Visible results may be achieved in 10 weeks.

Fat

Fibrous Bands

How Does QWO Work?

QWO is a non-surgical treatment clinically proven to reduce moderate to severe cellulite.

QWO injections are cellulite treatments made up of enzymes called collagenases. These enzymes break the peptide bonds in collagen, thus breaking down the fibrous bands that cause cellulite. The injectable also works to reduce the appearance of cellulite by redistributing fat cells and stimulating the growth of new collagen for firmer, smoother skin.

What to Expect with QWO

When you come in to receive QWO at Rodgers Dermatology, we can take photos to help track your results. Then, we use a marker to indicate the cellulite dimples we wish to treat. Next, you’ll lie down on your stomach and receive the injections in the targeted areas of dimpled skin with a small needle. Injections take as little as 10 minutes, with 3 treatments 21 days apart.

While women in clinical trials for QWO required no post-treatment downtime, we recommend avoiding strenuous activity for 48 hours in order to let the QWO settle into your tissue and work its magic.
