As the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic has continued to spread, many of us in the medical industry have had to adapt. This includes Dr. Timothy Rodgers and our staff at Rodgers Dermatology. We have taken every precaution to protect our staff and patients from possible exposure, and this means that all in-office appointments are limited to those that are medically necessary. All elective procedures are currently postponed.
However, we have adapted and found ways to use the newest technology to continue providing general and cosmetic dermatology services.
How telemedicine care works at Rodgers Dermatology
When it comes to General Dermatology, we are able to consult on many conditions, such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and much more. Through Patient Portal, PocketPatient, and Zoom meetings, you will actually visit with Dr. Rodgers; Denisa Russell, PA-C; and/or Lauren Stewart, PA-C. They will be able to evaluate your situation, provide a diagnosis, and recommend a treatment plan. If needed, we can call prescriptions into your pharmacy the same day. You can expect your visit to be just the same as an in-person consultation, just in an online format.
For Cosmetic Dermatology, all elective procedures are currently postponed. However, because we know you may still have questions regarding skincare, our specialists are happy to provide cosmetic consultations through telemedicine as well. This might include talking about cleansers, Botox, fillers, laser options, and more. While none of these procedures will be performed right now, we can work with you on making a plan for appointments at a later time.
Focusing on patient care
We want you to know that our focus will continue to be on patient care. We still have staff members in the office, and they are here for you should you have a more urgent need that is medically necessary.
If you have a question regarding any of our dermatology services, you are welcome to call us to talk with a nurse or other professional.
We also want to note that in-office and telemedicine visits will continue to be filed to your insurance as normal. While we do offer private pay options, we will not require private or cash pay only.
